Ecsed is a small village in Heves County, Hungary.

It should not be confused with the old town of Ecsed in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County in the eastern part of Hungary that has been renamed Nagyecsed, meaning "grand" or "great Ecsed". The ruined castle in that town was the birthplace and burial place of Elizabeth Báthory, The Blood Countess.
