Eiichi Ōtaki (大瀧 詠一, Ōtaki Eiichi, born July 28, 1948 in Esashi District (now part of the city of Ōshū), in Iwate Prefecture), is a Japanese popular musician, who was a member of the influential rock band Happy End and is known for his solo work as well.

His 1981 album, A Long Vacation, is particularly famous. It was the first Japanese album to be released on CD, sold over a million copies and has been re-released in 20th anniversary and 30th anniversary editions. It was also chosen as the 7th best album in Rolling Stone Japan‘s list of the 100 Greatest Japanese Rock Albums of All Time (the list topped by the Happy End album Kazemachi Roman).[1]
