Summary

Description
English: Surface weather analysis of the 1924 Cuba hurricane, otherwise known as 'Hurricane Ten,' on October 19, 1924. At the time, it was passing over the western tip of Cuba, operationally as a Category 3 hurricane. A reanalysis project determined that the hurricane was a Category 5 hurricane - the earliest (as of Dec. 2012) documented Category 5. The weather map indicates five distinct closed isobars, and the central minimum pressure of the system is 920 mbar.
