English: Abhayagiri Vihāra was a major monastery site of Mahayana, Theravada and Vajrayana Buddhism, located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is one of the most extensive ruins in the world and one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage cities in the nation.
