Description
English: 2005 aerial view looking south toward the Sellafield nuclear nuclear site, Cumbria. The large fell behind is Black Combe.
Deutsch: Luftbild der Sellafield-Anlage (2005).
  • Die vier Kühltürme des KKW Calder Hall wurden 2007 abgerissen.
  • Der Abluftturm des Windscale Reaktors 2 wurde bereits 2001 abgerissen. Auf dem Foto ist der ca. 125 m hohe Turm des verunglückten Reaktors 1 noch zu erkennen, welcher sich im aktiven Rückbau (bis ca. 2025) befindet.
  • Die Kugel ist der "Windscale Advanced Gas-Cooled Reactor", welcher bereits 1981 stillgelegt wurde mit vollständigem Rückbau bis ca. 2005.
