Summary

Description
English: The founders of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, Archdeacon Anthony (Bashir), Metropolitan Gerasimos (Messara), and Archimandrite Victor (Abo-Assaley). This photo was taken in New York in 1923. Gerasimos founded the archdiocese the next year on behalf of the patriarchate, putting Victor in charge as its first metropolitan. Antony would succeed him in 1936.
