Summary

Description The 11th day of Armenian presidential election protests. At 7:30 am, the peaceful "camp-in" protest at Liberty Square in Yerevan was violently ended by Armenian special forces which used truncheons and electric shock devices to disperse the crowd of around 1,000. At 12:30 pm, a new crowd marches to the French Embassy in a spontaneous demonstration. In this picture (1:50pm), having grown in numbers and chanted "Turks! Turks!" («Թուրքե՛ր: Թու՛րքե՛ր:») to riot police, army, and special forces, Army trucks begin to leave, as the peaceful protesters grow intolerant of the weapons surrounding them.
