| Description |
English: Adjacent shrubs of Artemisia cana are connected by rhizomes, which allow silver sagebrush to survive trampling, burning, and other above ground disturbances. The deciduous grayish leaves of silver sagebrush are narrow and end in single point. The inflorescences of Artemisia cana include leafy bracts that average 3-5 mm wide. Flowering heads are clustered in the axils of the leafy bracts. This site lies in the sagebrush steppe of Burke Park, Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana. |
