Description Ayveghyaget Site, one of the Gambell Sites, a collection of archaeological sites on St. Lawrence Island in the U.S. state of Alaska. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962, they were un-designated on 13 January 1989 as the result of locals frequently taking items from the sites. The sites remain listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
