Description
English: The Port Phillip Association expeditionary party of Port Phillip Bay, led by John Batman in May-June 1835 made landfall at Indented Head. When Batman left the a number of the party at Indented Head on June 9, 1835 he instructed them to make a garden and huts whilst he sailed to Tasmania. This sketch is John Helder Wedge's interpretation of the huts when he was based at Indented Head in August 1835. Wedge was an important member of the Port Phillip Association and drew the maps of the Association's claims of the lands around Port Phillip Bay.
