The dispute is about: the identified 1,3 vs 1,6 nomenclature is only correct for linkage between residies within the two separate oligomers ("1,3" for the n-mer and "1,6" for the m-mer). The link between the two cannot be both 1,3 and 1,6 (contradictory).
