For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Schindler-17.11.89-Berlin (West) Friedensstifter - Ein 200 Meter langes Banner mit Friedenstauben und Namen von Kindern, die seit 1930 in gewaltsamen Auseinandersetzungen ums Leben kamen, nahmen 100 Berliner Schüler am Grenzübergang Friedrich-, Zimmerstraße von der US-amerikanischen Stiftung "Children as Peacemakers" (Kinder als Friedensstifter) entgegen. Gemeinsam mit der Gründerin der Organisation passierten sie den Übergang und wurden von 200 Westberliner Schülern begrüßt. |
