Object history
Deutsch: Die 1934 endgültig in ihrer heutigen Ausdehnung gebildete Gemeinde besteht aus Lindau, Mutterslehen, Ober- und Unteribach. Uber alle Ortsteile hatte Kloster St. Blasien Zwing und Bann oder niedergerichtliche Rechte, die Landeshoheit lag bis 1805 bei Österreich. Im 19. Jahrhundert waren Schriftsiegel und Stempel mit der Initiale J im bekrönten Wappenschild in Gebrauch. 1911 nahm die Gemeinde auf Vorschlag des Generallandesarchivs das Wappen an. Es symbolisiert mit den Dreibergen die Lage des Ortes im Ibachtal. Der Abtsstab weist auf die frühere Beziehung zum Kloster St. Blasien hin.
