English: Eglwys y Santes Fair/St Mary's Church, Llangwyfan This was a Victorian replacement for St Cwyfan's Church (the Church in the Sea), then threatened by the waves. It is as remotely situated as the other Eglwys y Santes Fair at Tal-y-llyn, some two miles away in a NE direction SH367729. St Cwyfan was established by the 7thC Irish Saint Cwyfan (Kevin) and St Mary's was designed by the twin Irish connected architects of the Bangor Diocese - Henry Kennedy and Gustavus Hamilton O'Donoghue.
