Hierdie wespes is nie betrokke by bestuiwing nie, maar parasiteer larwes van die bestuiwende Ceratosolen-wespes tydens hul ontwikkeling in die blomgalle.
English: Cape fig with Apocrypta guineensis (Sycophaginae) parasitic wasps in Jan Celliers Park, Pretoria. These wasps are not involved in pollination but parasitize larvae of the pollinating Ceratosolen wasps during their development in the flower galls. |
