Deutsch: Beschreibung aus Karl Woermanns Galeriekatalog 1887: Ariadne von Bacchus überrascht. Links schlummert die verlassene Ariadne am Meeresstrande. Ein kleiner Amor, über dem ihr Sternbild glänzt, schwebt über ihrem Haupte. Von der rechten Seite naht das Gefolge des Bacchus; in der Ferne Silen auf seinem Esel, in der Mitte der Panther mit Satyrn und Bacchanten, unter denen wir Bacchus selbst zu suchen haben, ganz vorn ein Liebesgott auf einem Ziegenbock, den ein kleiner bocksbeiniger Panisk führt. Bez. l. u. (verkleinert): Jordanus F. Leinwand; h. 1,81½ m; br. 2,61½ m
