Summary

Description
English: One of the finest works by Portland, Maine stonecutter Bartlett Adams (1776-1828). Made for his son, Bartlett, who lived less than six months. The inscription reads "Memoriae sacrum/Bartlett, son of Bartlett Adams & Charlotte his wife/born July 5 & died December 30. AD 1806. Betwixt his birth & death, HOW SHORT THE SPACE?"
