Deutsch: Dampflok 010505-6, Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof, März 1971.
English: Photo by R. W. Rynerson, shows a Reichsbahn Pacific-class steam locomotive kicking up dirty snow on a March 1971 departure of the evening "D-train" Interzone Express from Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof for Berlin. Although this class of main line steam power was already fading away on the West German Deutsche Bundesbahn, they were still used on major trains of the Deutsche Reichsbahn as a motive power shortage existed pending the delivery of heavy Diesels from the Soviet Union.
