Nevada Air Guard 192nd Fighter Bomber Squadron P-51 Mustangs fly over Lake Tahoe in the early 1950's. The 192nd's first P-51 arrived in 1948. Eventually the unit had 17 in its inventory. The 192nd flew the WWII vintage aircraft until 1955 when they were replaced by the F-86 Sabre jet aircraft which was developed and used extensively during the Korean War.
