Information complémentaire: Intitulé L'Hôtel de Noailles vers 1690 par Hillairet. Hôtel particulier (1687) construit entre les actuels numéros 211 rue Saint-Honoré et 202 rue de Rivoli (actuel Hôtel Saint-James et d'Albany) pour Henri Pussort, oncle maternel de Colbert, passé en 1697 à Pierre-Vincent Bertin, seigneur d'Armenonville, en 1711 à Adrien-Maurice de Noailles (1678-1766), comte, puis duc d'Ayen, qui le fit remanier en 1715 par l'architecte Pierre Cailleteau dit Lassurance (1655-1724) et fit redessiner les jardins par Charpentier. L'ensemble de bâtiments qui constituait cet hôtel particulier, dans lequel La Fayette (1757-1834) épousa en 1774 Marie Adrienne Françoise de Noailles (1759-1807), a été morcelé en 5 lots en 1830. Il en subsiste une façade de style Louis-Quinze (classée) dans la cour de l'Hôtel Saint-James et d'Albany. Cf. Jacques Hillairet: Dictionnaire historique des rues de Paris, Vol. 2, p. 428.
