Summary

Description
English: In the foreground is the vacuum chamber for the incoming proton beam coming from the Linac. The tank held by white frames houses the "Vertical Distributor", which deflects the incoming beam to the levels of the Booster's four superposed rings. After acceleration in the Booster, the beams from the four rings are combined in the vertical plane and transfered to the Proton Synchrotron. The "Recombination Line", intersecting the injection line, crosses the picture from left to right.
