Summary

Description
English: A Landing Craft Utility (LCU) of 4ASRM (4 Assault Squadron Royal Marines) returns to HMS Bulwark in the English Channel, during the security operation for the Olympic Games.

The Royal Navy’s Flagship, HMS Bulwark returned to the Dorset coast to reprise her Command and Control HQ Maritime security role protecting the sailing venue in Portland harbour during the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Sailing from her base port in Devonport on Sunday, HMS Bulwark arrived in the early hours of the August Bank Holiday Monday in Weymouth Bay, docking down to release her Landing Craft and to conduct a brief handover with RFA Mounts Bay, the highly versatile Auxiliary Amphibious Assault Ship that provided an invaluable Forward Logistics facility alongside in Portland Port during the successful Olympic maritime security operation in August.
