English: 149 Maltese immigrants land in Sydney from the SS Partizanka on 13 December 1948.

From the Sydney Morning Herald, 16 January 1948, p.3: "With evident joy and eagerness to make new homes in Australia, these youthful Maltese arrived in Sydney yesterday by the Yugoslav Government ship Partizanka. There to welcome them at the wharf was the Rev. Father Cassar, second from right in front. The Maltese were among 700 Southern European migrants on board"
