Summary

Description
English: The shelter hut at the top of the McKinnon Saddle, the mountain pass that one has to cross westwards on the Milford Track in Fiordland National Pass, New Zealand. This hut is intended only as a short-time / emergency shelter, and is also divided into two internally, for the guided walks people, and the 'Freedom Walkers'. It is located in a very exposed position (it has to be, there are few sheltered places there at all), and at least two previous huts have simply been blown away eventually. This one looked a bit more solid, what with the concrete base and all.
Nevertheless 2010 it had been replaced.
