DescriptionMilitary Flag of the Kingdom of Portugal and Algarves (1868 to 1910).png
English: This is an accurate version of the Portuguese war flag used during the period of the Constitutional Monarchy, this design was introduced in 1868 to replace older designs. It was based on the model of the national flag, but on the four corners, depending who was the reigning Monarch, Royal Monograms where placed with the Royal Crown on the top. In the center, the National Shield and Crown where placed, while a green laurel wreath closed with a red band completed with the Military Order of Christ gived the flag a very smart and splendid look to it. On the lower area, a white scroll was also placed to indicate the specific regiment that represent it. The monograms on the four corners are of King Manuel II of Portugal (who reign from 1908 to 1910).
