DescriptionMontgomery County Fair (June 4, 1949).png
English: Montgomery County Fair, Gaithersburg, June 4, 1949
The Montgomery County Fair was originally held in Rockville, approximately where Richard Montgomery High School is today. When the fair outgrew that land a 64-acre tract in Gaithersburg was purchased from Herman Rabbitt. On June 4, 1949 close to 1,000 volunteers gathered to construct several of the livestock exhibits, and the very first fair was held that same year.
