Description
English: Matsudaira Morio (1878–1944) was an Imperial Japanese Navy Rear Admiral. He, as the head of the ex-domain chief family Matsudaira, supported his peer Aizu people and descendants who had been struggling to meet ends after the Boshin War, the exile to Aomori, then had moved to Tokyo for living and higher education. Matsudaira hosted Aizu-kai Society at his home in Tokyo since before April 1912, when the unofficial country men gathering of ex-Aizu clan had become a official group with Matsudaira as the first president (–1919). With Aizu-kai as a hub, they started publishing newsletters, which the Aizu-kai still keeps circulation based on the property Matsudaira donated to build a college students’ dormitory as well as a meeting hall.
