Description
English: Picture taken at 2:52 a.m. EDT (06:52 UTC) on November 1, 2012 of New Jersey and New York by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi NPP satellite, using the "day-night band". This image was taken shortly after Hurricane Sandy had impacted the area, causing massive power outages.
