Description
English: Pastel af kendt kunstner. Oprindelig beskrivelse: "Billedet forestiller regimentskirurg Poul Elias Windtmil Schlegel (6.8. 1784 - 2.12. 1849). Kunstneren ubekendt. P.E. Schlegel var i Christiansted, St. Croix fra 1814. 1829 blev han ridder af dannebroge, 1838 konst. landfysikus på øerne. 1843 fik han dannebrogsmændenes hæderstegn, 1845 tog han sin afsked og tog ophold i København. Mål: 59x51 cm".
