English: Pilatus PC-12 operating from short, unimproved airfield. The PC-12 was selected by Air Force Special Operations Command and given the nomenclature U-28A. The U stands for utility. The U-28A filled an urgent requirement to provide low cost, reliable support to SOF forces in the field.
