Nest of Carrion-crow (Corviis coroiie) In competition with the Swifts and Swallows, which gyrateon untiring wings, and sweep so gracefidly to meet thegauzy flutterers above the water they have so recentlyleft, are numerous Sparrows ; despite their thick-set clumsybodies and short wings, they too attempt the difficultfeat, and e\en try awkwardly to pick them from the 8 114 Pictures of Bird Life surface.
