Pont de Chipole, vallée du Lot (Pomayrols-Aveyron-France). C'est le troisième pont construit sur le Lot à cet endroit de la vallée; En 1329, le seigneur de Pomayrols de l'époque fit construire le premier, il se situait au hameau de Chipole, il fut détruit par une des violentes crues que subit la vallée durant l'hiver 1705. En 1859 un second et éphémère pont fut à nouveau construit. Bâtit dans la précipitation, inauguré le 16 octobre 1859, il ne supporta pas la première crue venue et s'écroula le 5 janvier 1860. Le pont actuel date de 1871, sa construction a été financée par l'Etat. En l'an 2000, il a été consolidé et entièrement rénové[1]. |
