DescriptionPrague tram No. 180 at Crich Tramway Museum - geograph.org.uk - 1291865.jpg
English: Prague tram No. 180 at Crich Tramway Museum This is quite a famous tram. It was built in 1905 for the Prague tramways. When it was withdrawn it was offered to Crich, and in 1968 it left what was then Czechoslovakia for the UK. But it departed just as the former Soviet Union and its allies were invading Czechoslovakia to overthrow the government. The tram escaped just hours before the country's borders were sealed, which gained it much publicity at the time.
