Summary

Description Photo of Robert Paige {left} asking bandleader Art Mooney a question on behalf of a television viewer on the quiz show Strike It Rich.
Date No date on release en:Strike It Rich (radio-TV) aired on radio and television--the television version was on CBS between 1951-1958. The show eventually became a scandal because many needy people traveled to New York in hopes of being on the program. When that didn't happen, they were often left in New York with no money to return home. These incidents turned public opinion against the program. Because of the scandals, most of the kinescopes of the show were destroyed. A handful survive at UCLA, the Paley Center for Media and the Library of Congress.
