Summary

Description
English: Counterfeit of Russia 1921 issue, Volga Famin Relief. 2250 rubel green, mint. The forgery can be differentiated from genuine based on many characteristics, the most important ones:[1]
  • The shadow of the old man's stick at bottom left joins the base of the stick in the genuine, while in the forgery there is a clear gap.
  • The lower serifs of the Д and the А in the word ГОЛОДАЮЩИМ just merge together in the genuine, while in the forgery there is a clear gap.
  • The words 'Рублеи' are clear, while in the forgery the left word 'Рублеи' has a deformed 'у'.
  • The width of the genuine stamp is 55.5 mm as compared to the 55 mm of the forgery.
  • The paper used for the forgery is pale cream (as opposed to whitish) and thicker.
The picture is less detailed and more blurry compared to the original.
