Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Spartan NP-1 in flight. It was a two-seat primary trainer designed and built by the Spartan Aircraft Company. 201 aircraft were built and entered service with the U.S. Navy during late 1940. These aircraft were used to equip the newly established U.S. Naval Reserve training schools based at Atlanta (Georgia), Dallas (Texas), and New Orleans (Louisiana).
