Description
English: False color image taken March 28, 2022 with the Resourcesat-2 by the Indian remote sensing program in cooperation with the USGS Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science.

The colors are modified as follows:

  • Spectral Band 2, which receives the green wavelength, is depicted as blue
  • Spectral Band 3, which receives the red wavelength, is depicted as green
  • Spectral Band 4, which receives the near-infrared (see Near-infrared spectroscopy § Astronomical spectroscopy), is depicted as red

Source from item R2AWF03282022272036, available from EarthExplorer, using the .tif files for bands 2, 3, and 4; bands were combined with MultiSpec© and converted from .tif to .png and color adjusted with the "White Balance" tool using GIMP. For more about the bands, see the table on the Advanced Wide Field Sensor (AWiFS) from earth.esa.int.
