The entire front cover, measuring 8.48 in (21.54 cm) width by 10.92 in (27.74 cm) length (corresponding digital capture measures 1272 px by 1637 px scanned at 150 dpi), comprising a relatively small portion of the commercial product as a whole. Because the image is a book cover, a form of product packaging, the entire image is needed to identify the product, properly convey the meaning and branding intended, and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the image.

The copy is of sufficient resolution for commentary and identification but lower resolution than the original role-playing game core rulebook cover. Copies made from it will be of inferior quality, unsuitable as artwork on pirate versions or other uses that would compete with the commercial purpose of the original artwork.
