English: Tambour desk (Boston, 1793-1798) by John Seymour and Thomas Seymour. Mahogany with satinwood and maple veneers. In this type of desk, introduced in 1790s, the bottom has drawers like a bureau, the top folds up, and there is a set of additional drawers behind the sliding screens.
