Summary

Description
English: The Imperial War Musuem record states: "Fifth Army land in Salerno Bay, South of Naples. Bren carriers coming ashore from Landing Craft, nr. Salerno." Angus Konstam, in his work on Salerno, identifies the men and machines belonging to the 6th Lincolnshire Regiment of the 46th Division. He pinpoints the location as Uncle Red Beach, on the extreme left of the British landing zone.
