Summary

Description
English: The U.S. Army transport Bridgeport in port, circa in 1946. USAT Bridgeport was used to carry war brides and other military dependents to the United States, in 1946-1947.
Note: as the traffic sign in the foreground is in English and German, the photo was obviously taken in Germany, probably in U.S.-occupied Bremerhaven.
