Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Ranger (CVA-61) passes USS Leyte (CVS-32) during sea trials in 1957. Ranger was built at Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., Newport News, Virginia (USA), and commissioned on 10 August 1957.
