The Lufthansa, a newer example as far as 747-400s go (built in 2002), is using a United domestic gate. As departure immigration checks are not done in the US, international flights are more than free to use domestic gates for departure; at O'Hare Airport, both United and Lufthansa use the common international terminal for international arrivals, and use the United domestic terminal for international departures. The United is departing for Singapore via Tokyo Narita. This particular example was built in 1999, and was named in 2011 after the first customer to ever hit 10 million miles in United's MileagePlus frequent flier program. It was also the first Boeing 747 in the post-merger United fleet to get the Continental Disco Ball livery. (A few 747-100s had flown for Continental through the 1990s, wearing the Disco Ball.)
