Description
English: Plan of the Roman Saxon Shore fort known as "Walton Castle", in Felixstowe, Suffolk. The ruins in the northeast corner (bottom right) may be those of a Norman castle which was dismantled by Henry II in 1176. The drawing is from: The Victoria history of the county of Suffolk, Volume 1. Published 1907. The drawing is dated to 1623.
