Summary

Description
English: Warszawa Centralna railway station in Poland. Station is fully accessible to disabled (and people with heavy luggage) by automatic doors and elevators. Inside also escalators in white marble interiors. Swiss monthly magazine „Hochparterre” rated it as „Excellent public space: the main hall of the Warszawa Centralna railway station in its original shape.”[1]
Polski: Dworzec kolejowy Warszawa Centralna, Polska 1975. Najnowocześniejszy dworzec w powojennej Polsce wyposażony w urządzenia sprowadzone w latach 70. z krajów Europy Zachodniej. Przykład nowatorskiej architektury polskiego modernizmu z zastosowaniem luksusowych materiałów. Wnętrza pokryte białym marmurem i czarnym labradorytem, drzwi automatyczne, perfekcyjnie zaprojektowana cienka stolarka aluminiowa z wielkimi przeszkleniami, efektowne reflektory iluminacji architektury w szczycie dachu, ogrzewane i przeszklone poczekalnie na każdym peronie, system kamer monitoringu, marmurowo-drewniane ławki z własnym ogrzewaniem, telewizory we wszystkich pomieszczeniach, marmurowa fontanna, salon vip, schody ruchome, pochylnie ruchome i windy na każdym peronie. Według szwajcarskiej prasy to „znakomita przestrzeń publiczna: hala główna dworca Warszawa Centralna w swoim pierwotnym kształcie”[2].
