The image description of this image describes the use of the mean between 1961 and 1990 however the original data referenced has a mean of 1951 to 1980, and the justification of this mean, a link to wikipedia article IPCC fails to actually substantiate the claim that "following the common practice of the IPCC, the zero on this figure is the mean temperature from 1961-1990."
Perhaps it would be more useful to abolish the use of means in this graph and simply use the actual temperature.130.56.89.139 (talk) 19:00, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
