The photograph of "Mountain Iris" - by Conrad Munro - Mountain_iris.jpg‎, used as the feature photograph for th main entry on Iris, represents a garden escape, as Iris of the subsection Eupogonae, European bearded Iris - specifically those of the Iris x Germanica complex as is this specimen, are not native to Costa Rica - nor, for that matter, are they native anywhere in the Americas.

There are no Irises with true beards native to the Americas at all, only garden specimens and escapes.

If the photograph is to be retained as the main entry for this important section, it should read, "...a photograph of a Bearded Iris, likely a garden escape, growing in the mountains of Costa Rica."
