Really need details here[edit]

The one single piece of information with this image is that the right-hand laptop is a model T42p. It's obvious, but not stated, that the left-hand display is a TN. I can't find a spec for the T42p that states the display technology involved, although it's implicit in that photo and another that it's either *VA or *IPS. However, without being able to cite a reference for either, the image isn't terribly useful. The difference in viewing angle on a current Panasonic Lumix compact camera LCD between high and low power modes is almost as stark as in this photograph! It looks like reduction in power of a TN LCD drops the viewing angle significantly, but I have no reference to cite here.

Given that this is an image in an encyclopaedia, it's really important to know precisely what is being illustrated here. And given that TN laptops are ubiquitous, finding one that doesn't look like it's been hit by a truck would be preferential.
