This map contains a factual inaccuracy. The act defining the boundaries of the Wisconsin Territory did not include the UP. The boundaries were much the same as the present boundaries. older ≠ wiser 18:08, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see both Michigan Territory article and "Toledo Strip". According to those aritcles, that portion of Upper Peninsula was part of Wisconsin Territory until Michigan became a state. CJLippert 02:44, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
