Foothill Technology High School is a high school located on 100 Day Road in Ventura, California. It has been a California Distinguished School since 2005[2] and won the National Blue Ribbon Award in 2006,[3] and 2012.[4] It is ranked 78th in California and 419th in the US by US News and World Report in 2012.[5]

Foothill Technology High School was opened in 2000 to alleviate the overcrowding at the city's two existing high schools (Buena High School and Ventura High School). The school has been, since its inception, a magnet school. They have a lottery entrance program in order to keep the number of students under their limit.

The school's testing scores have reached an API of 896 in 2006, the 16th highest score among high schools in the State of California, and the highest in Ventura County. In 2007, Foothill Technology High School scored 904 on the API exams. In 2009, they scored a 899, but still as the 18th top high school in California. In 2010, they received 906 on the API exams. In 2011's the API score for Foothill students was 914, the highest in Ventura County once again, beating Oak Park High School.[6]
